Tasty options all around and some amazing vegetarian options, especially for a barbeque shop. The spicy eggplant and tofu entree is my all-time fave and I am very fond of the collard greens. The pulled pork is so yummy. Hubby has enjoyed the turkey meatloaf many times. Samosas, biryani, quesadillas, wings, chicken/rib rack combos, fried chicken and many healthy options like grilled salmon/shrimp/catfish or chicken over a fresh mixed greens salad. They also do party packages like 2 whole chickens, 2 whole racks of ribs, 30 buffalo wings, etc.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to try out Rani's barbecue pit. It's clear that Rani takes pride in her food and has been a dedicated member of the community for over 24 years. She makes everything from scratch, including the samosas and empanadas. The veggie burger with spinach, lentils, and rice was a standout, and the turkey chili and meatloaf were also delicious. Rani and her team put a lot of effort and care into their food, and it shows in the unique flavors and spices used in their dishes. It's worth a trip from anywhere to try out Rani's barbecue pit! And don’t forget about the ribs and chicken in the corn bread.

Love this place! Haven't been in a while but used to get food from here when my gf and i lived near there for a few years! The owner is such a nice lady and very friendly. And the ribs are juicy! We moved to the other side of the bronx but glad they have the food apps that deliver!

This place is the jewel of riverdale. The food quality Is beyond anything anywhere in the area. Heck, it's better than anywhere else in the state! This place Is not your average barbecue joint. The food is homemade. The recipes are all from scratch. Everything from the feta cheese to the Greek salad to the chutney. For the simoses, he's a taste of authentic and hi caliber quality.. You're gonna spend here. It's not cheap, but you don't get quality for cheap.

My family absolutely loves the Barbecue Pit where they take care of every customer with warmth. We manage some food allergies so it can be tricky to get comfortable ordering food out at restaurants, but the manager here is an open book regarding ingredients and shows great knowledge of food allergy protocols and no irritation with a pile of questions. And aside from those customer service side positives, the baby back ribs are DELICIOUS, absolutely fall off the bone tender, and a hit when paired with the house barbecue sauce and a tasty Greek salad. I love this place and recommend it to everyone.

I was recommended this restaurant. I went with family. Food was good. The service was excellent (waitress is kind and sweet). The atmosphere conjours something like a diner. I would recommend for family.

We loved our meal! Everything tasted fresh and homemade, including the complimentary chips and salsa. Roni was incredibly friendly and attentive. My three year old and twelve year old ate everything and they're incredibly picky. So grateful to have such amazing food in the neighborhood! Can recommend the turkey chili with cheese, corn bread, and fries! So yummy, we will definitely be back!
